Here at SAS Med Spa we use NovaLash on all of our clients. The NovaLash extensions are a single fiber artificial eyelash that has a blunt base and tapered tip, giving the lashes a very natural look. For every natural eyelash you have, a synthetic eyelash is attached to it using a formaldehyde free eyelash adhesive. Since all of our natural lashes go through a shedding process, each lash extension will shed with the natural lash. These semi-permanent eyelash extensions will last 3-4 weeks before needing a refill.

By having eyelash extensions, it will help reduce the amount of time it takes to get ready in the morning. NovaLash extensions do not require any mascara, although you may wear NovaLash Mascara if you choose to do so. Each individual extension is made with a curl and rich black color. Don’t worry, these eyelash extensions are waterproof and oil proof! Everyday activities such as showering, swimming, and sweating will be no match for your extensions. There are no restrictions while having lash extensions. You may continue doing anything you would normally do without them.

What Should I Expect At My First Eyelash Extension Appointment?

Before getting any extensions applied to your natural eyelashes, you will have a thorough consultation with the certified lash extensionist about what you are looking for, what would be good for your natural lashes, what to expect and most importantly to make sure you are a good candidate for eyelash extensions. When getting your first full set of extensions, make sure to leave time in your schedule. These appointments can last up to three hours. Don’t worry, your eyes will be closed most of the time and you can enjoy a midday nap! Here at SAS Med Spa, we like to have on calm, soothing music to help you relax. This not only makes it easier to sleep for you but it helps keep you relaxed and your eyelids from twitching making it easier for the certified lash extensionist to apply your lashes. After all of the extensions have been applied, we make sure all of the adhesive is dry before you leave. This is done by getting a facial steam to set in the lashes followed by fanning the lashes. Leaving you with a gorgeous new set of eyelash extensions!

What Is The After Care Of Eyelash Extensions?

Taking care of your new eyelash extensions is simple but extremely important! To keep the eyelashes from getting tangled together, you will need to brush through them twice a day. Before going to sleep, use half of a NovaLash cleanLASH cleansing pad. This will take off any eye make up you may be wearing, cleanse the lashes of dirt and debris that gets in our lashes very day and condition the lashes to help keep them soft and flexible. By doing your daily cleansing and brushing, your extensions and natural lashes will remain healthy and last longer between refills.
