Cosmetic Microneedling
Microneedling is an amazing technique, but you need equipped with the proper tools, products and knowledge to truly benefit from microneedling.
As you can see I am a super fan of microneedling. Look at my glorious roller! Yes, she is
14 karat gold, because that is how I roll...pun intended! 14 karat gold naturally suppresses bacteria and this device will last me forever. I view the care of my face as an investment and my roller sings when I take her out of her case--not really, but I should put that on my to-do list to invent--like the musical toothbrush. (Insert, "I Feel Pretty").
You can see from the picture, I also use a tea tree based instrument cleaning solution to clean my roller--very important!!
If you are already microneedling ask yourself a couple of questions:
Did you read an article in a newsstand magazine and immediately use your prime shipping app and order a microneedling device from Amazon? Gasp!! Was the device FDA cleared? How deep are the needles? Are you at risk for the cheap plastic to break off in your skin?? I could go on and on, but bottom line--this scares me!
Did you buy your kit from a multi-level marketing company because of the "amazing" before and after pics you saw on your Facebook feed?
My first response is great! You have committed to a skin care routine! That beats the heck out of a bar of soap. My second response, you are a terrific friend, because you over spent for non-medical grade skin care to help your friend achieve her goals. That means you are a good person and your skin should glow for that reason alone!!

If you are not cosmetically microneedling--why not?
Here are a few facts that you should know.
When you apply your skin care, whether it is non-medical or medical grade quality, the skin is only capable of absorbing 30% of the product applied--that is a lot of wasted product. Utilizing the microneedle roller with your product enhances the absorption. You are mechanically assisting the product to penetrate your epidermis. You will get more bang for your buck when it comes to your skin care products if you include microneedling into your skin care routine.
Cosmetic microneedling should not hurt. A good quality device should only be .3mm in-depth. If you are going deeper with an at-home device, ouch!! And you are putting yourself at risk for infection!
Only buy a FDA approved device.
Clean your device with an approved instrument cleaning solution.
Cosmetic microneedling can be a game changer when used with the correct products that are formulated for you skin.
